Maybe I'm part of a trend or at least a mini-trend. Both
brides profiled in last week's Observer went for nontraditional rings. Ms.
Silverman chose a Canadian diamond (purchased from Park
Slope's politically correct jeweler,
The Clay Pot) and Ms. Schultz chose an emerald.
